Caroline Béguin: Happy New Year everyone, and welcome, Neetu. Today, I’m thrilled to kick off 2026 with a very special guest, Neetu Wadia, Global Head of Partnerships & Alliances at SBS. She has been leading the transformation of SBS’s partner strategy and shaping what collaboration really means across the organization. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to focus on what truly drives business growth. There is no better investment in your future pipeline, your customers, and your teams than learning how to work smarter with partners. So, Neetu, today we are exploring how to make partners work for you. What is the one sentence that captures the core idea of this conversation?
Neetu Wadia: In today’s world, no company succeeds alone. Growth, scale, and long-term success all depend on strong ecosystems. Partners are not optional—they are an integral part of how businesses operate and grow.
Caroline Béguin: What were the three most important things SBS did in 2025 to build its partner foundation?
Neetu Wadia: The first step was understanding why we needed partners in the first place. We looked at how partnerships could help us scale, enter new markets, complement our products, and deliver to customers in regions where we have limited presence. That helped us define where partnerships create value and identify the right partner profiles. The second priority was building the foundation. We invested in tools, support systems, documentation, and enablement kits to make sure we had the right infrastructure in place. Finally, we focused on people and mindset. Building a partner ecosystem requires the right teams and a shared understanding of why partnerships matter. That preparation puts us in a strong position for 2026 and beyond.
Caroline Béguin: Looking ahead, what will make the biggest difference in 2026, and what does scale look like in 2027?
Neetu Wadia: One of the most important factors is that people across the organization increasingly understand the value of partnerships. Whether it is product, delivery, or sales, everyone recognizes that partnerships have a role to play. What will make the difference is that this mindset exists at every level of the company. Partnerships are no longer viewed as a separate function—they are becoming part of how we work. That collective understanding is what will set us up for success and enable us to scale further in the years ahead.
Caroline Béguin: What collaboration across teams is absolutely critical to partner success?
Neetu Wadia: Collaboration is the key word. Every team needs to understand how partnerships fit into its work. For product teams, that means designing solutions that are partner-enabled. For sales teams, it means understanding how alliance managers complement their role. Whatever the function, everyone needs to understand how to work together to make partnerships successful. Without collaboration, partnerships simply cannot succeed.
Caroline Béguin: Who does what between alliance managers and sales teams?
Neetu Wadia: Both functions play a critical role in our growth journey. Partnerships are needed for scale, and sales are equally essential. Sales teams are responsible for building relationships with customers and representing SBS in the market. Alliance managers support them by bringing enablers to the table. They help open doors, influence opportunities, and accelerate growth. Alliance managers play a key role in bringing the ecosystem together and work hand in hand with sales to ensure success.
Caroline Béguin: Let’s assume I work in sales or product. Why should I care? How do partners make my life easier or more profitable?
Neetu Wadia: Partnerships are all about scale. If five salespeople can close five deals, imagine extending that reach through a network of partners. Suddenly, you have many more people helping generate opportunities. That means more sales, better returns, and higher profitability. The same logic applies to delivery. As demand grows, partners can support implementation and integration, allowing us to accelerate without being constrained by internal capacity. It becomes a win for sales, a win for product, a win for delivery, and ultimately a win for the company as a whole.
Caroline Béguin: What is the one action you want everyone to take after listening to this episode?
Neetu Wadia: I want everyone to think partners. Talk partners, dream partners, and build with partners. Because partners equal growth.
Caroline Béguin: Thank you, Neetu, for being with us and sharing your insights.
Neetu Wadia: Thank you, Caroline. Thanks for having me.
